Mini Vinnies
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and Nursery is a Mini-Vinnie school! Mini-Vinnie groups are set up in Catholic primary schools, and carry out good deeds in helping the needy within school, the local community and the wider world.
Mini Vinnies follow the motto of see-think-do! They see who needs help in the world, think about how they can help and then do something about it. Their mission is to turn concern into action.
Our St Joseph's Mini Vinnies Team has:
- Written our new school prayer
- Created a kindness postbox for school
- Planned, prepared and hosted our St Joseph's Day Fayre for families, raising £156 for Martin House Children's Hospice and Alzheimer's Society
- Organised a fun run to raise money for local charities
- Conducted Kindness Walks in Tadcaster
- Worked collaboratively with Barkston Ash MVs to plan ways to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope, 2025
- Visited our local care home to show friendship and compassion to others
- Hosted afternoon tea in our Church for our parishioners
- Designed our new Saints House Teams' shields
