RE
St Joseph's is a Catholic school and we are committed to the Catholic Faith, recognising and valuing every individual as special and unique in the image and likeness of God. It is our duty to see our mission and vision embedded across the RE curriculum, and the wider curriculum beyond. This sits alongside the Gospel Values which are inextricably linked through everything we teach.
RE CURRICULUM
We follow The Way, the Truth and The Life scheme of work for as the basis for our RE teaching. It begins in Reception and goes through to Year 6 and we cover 6 topics across the year.
We have daily Collective Worship either in class or as a whole school and a celebration assembly on Friday. We use TenTen resources to plan our Act of Worship, along with Missio and CAFOD resources.
Prayer is a very important part of each day and is central to our life in school. The children enjoy writing and sharing prayers and we hope you can support them to pray at home.
We have regular whole school Masses and visit St Joseph's Catholic Church to celebrate monthly Family Mass, weekly Mass during Lent and Advent, as well as termly Mass and celebration of feast days.

Other Faiths
We teach the children about other faiths during multi-faith weeks and topics to reflect our diverse world.
