Required from September 2022, the Academy Council is looking to appoint an experienced, talented, motivational and inspiring classroom teacher to join our growing school.

The successful candidates should;

St Joseph’s is a small, family-orientated voluntary aided Catholic Primary School. It is part of the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust which consists of two high schools and 11 primary schools. The October 2017 Diocesan Section 48 inspection and January 2017 Ofsted inspection judged St Joseph’s as a good school.

Pre-School Playworker

Required for the summer term 25 April to 22 July 2022 to cover a temporary increase in numbers.  Term Time Only.

24 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 9.00am - 3.30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Salary Grade: NJC Grade A2/A3, SCP 2, £18,516 FTE per annum (actual salary: £10,077 per annum)

 • Able to nurture and inspire children
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Have a good sense of humour
• Committed to providing a safe and happy learning environment
• Someone who is dedicated, resilient and able to offer exciting learning opportunities
• Someone who can create an atmosphere in which children are happy and can succeed
• Experienced in delivering the EYFS
• Have a minimum of a level 3 early years qualification
