We are very proud of our school and all it has to offer - a caring community with well-behaved, enthusiastic and talented children. As a small school, St Joseph’s has a distinctive family-feel, which is rooted in the Gospel values and virtues.
Every decision we make is based on our children.
Our staff are committed to going above and beyond and we have very high expectations for each of our children: academically, pastorally and spiritually .
St Joseph's is fortunate to be able to offer a lovely learning environment, with bright, open classrooms, food freshly cooked on site, small class sizes, outdoor provision areas and a large playing field.
We have our very own nursery and cater for children from the age of 2 to 11. We offer a breakfast club and after school care, run by our own staff.
We have strong links with our parish Church; regularly attending Mass and special celebrations. Developing a strong social conscience is important to us, and our pupils are involved with charities, community groups, local churches and other schools.
Our school is a Voluntary Academy school in the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust, supported by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Leeds and North Yorkshire County Council.
Visitors to school are warmly welcomed; please do not hesitate to call and arrange a visit so you can discover everything that is so wonderful about our school!
